|I was born in Mandeville Manchester a nice country area in Jamaica. I moved to the United States at the age of five years old and settled here with my family. I enjoy spending time with my one year old son, Fabian; teaching young children; going to church; going shopping; doing hair; and spending time with my friends and family. I attended elementary school straight through high school. I graduated from High School in June of 2004. I took my education further and attended Lincoln Technical Institute and received my diploma as medical assistant.
For as far as I can remember I always had a special love for children. At the early age of ten I have loved the company and the enjoyment of caring for young children. It was during my fourth year in high school, I decided that this is the career path I want to take. My first experience teaching young children was when I took the opportunity as assistant preschool teacher in Philadelphia Pa in 2006, where I learned a lot about early childhood development.
In 2008 I decided to take my education to the next level to obtain my CDA and my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Penn foster college. In January 2010 I received my diploma for Daycare Management. Sadly in March of 2009 Daycare had closed down. But I didn’t give up there. In July of 2009 I was offered an assistant preschool teacher position in the most progressive childhood development center in Philadelphia Pa, Academy for Early Learning.
This was an amazing opportunity; this facility applied the concepts of the most cutting edges of early childhood research findings, to the day to day teaching and interactions with children of all ages. These concepts sparked my interest and gave me the desire to one day complete my goal towards my Early Childhood Education degree. I hope to continue to provide a lot of tender loving care and education to young children into my future, because it is the love for young children that brought me this far.
Is seeking the opportunity to work in a progressive atmosphere that demonstrates a strong focus in quality education among young children, and also further my educational experience in early childhood development.
